Resident democracy at LOAS

In state-subsidised housing, tenants are given decision-making power and influence over their own housing by residential democracy act, and thus opportunities to increase their living comfort. In practice, tenant democracy under the residential democracy act means that tenants have the right to be informed, to participate in the preparation, to make statements, and to monitor and decide on the matters mentioned in the act. Residents can participate in the institutions mentioned in the act, such as the residents' meeting and the residents' committee.
