Residents have access to broadband internet connections in all LOAS’ apartments. The internet connection is not subject to a separate fee, but instead the service is included in the rent.
Lnet is LOAS’ own fast broadband network which is available at all properties, either as a fixed or wireless local network. The main Lnet network’s bandwidth is 1 Gb/s and in case of the properties’ local networks 100 Mb/s.
All LOAS’ residents have the right to use the broadband network. In the rental agreement and upon registration, the resident agrees to observe the instructions and guidelines concerning the use of the network. The most important requirement for the network services to function properly is that everyone observes the user guidelines to the dot.
At the few properties which are not connected to Lnet, LOAS offers its residents a commercial broadband connection. At some of the properties, the Lnet network connection has been implemented by using a wireless local area network (i.e. WLAN), which can be found under the name WLnet. The buildings which have wireless Lnet also have the Eduroam network.
