Our tenant selection was found to follow the guidelines

Many residents and applicants may have come across recent news coverage about the criteria for LOAS tenant selection. Due to these media reports, the State-Supported Housing Construction Centre (Varke) requested a guidance discussion with us regarding our tenant selection process.

Together with Varke representatives, we went through LOAS tenant selection in detail. In the discussion, we explained that the scoring model partly presented in the media is only one element of a broader needs-based assessment, which determines how applications are placed into different urgency categories of housing need. Varke representatives confirmed that our tenant selection follows the applicable guidelines and regulations.

Varke emphasized that in tenant selection all applicants must be treated equally, and the urgency of each applicant’s housing need must be taken into account. This is how we have acted — and how we will continue to act in the future.
