LOAS apartments and their equipment

LOAS’ apartments have been primarily designed for the needs of students in such a way that they are practical, easy to maintain, diverse to use and affordable.

All the materials, furnishing and equipment have been carefully selected to serve our residents in the best possible way. During recent years, we have strongly invested in improving the energy efficiency of all of our properties.

The apartments are modern apartments which have all the basic equipment needed for living, and residents can supplement them according to their own needs. All the properties have a sauna and a laundry room, which can easily be booked via the residents’ intranet. The equipment of the properties and their special features have been further described in the property descriptions. Please note that all our apartments are smoke-free. Apartment types

Shared apartments

LOAS has more than 1,000 shared apartments in different parts of the city. In a shared apartment, the resident has their own room (mainly furnished). The kitchen and bathroom are shared with one or two flatmates. Only residents of the same sex live in LOAS shared apartments. The room size of the shared apartments is 11-14 m² and the rentable area is 20-25 m². Everyone is responsible for the condition and cleaning of their own room, common areas are taken care of jointly.

Studios

More than 1,000 of our apartments are studies but their demand is however even greater. We select residents for the studios primarily from among applicants who already rent from LOAS or on the basis of special reasons presented by the applicant in their application. The floor plan solution of many of our larger studios is also ideal for couples.

Two-room apartments

The two-room apartments of our older properties have a shared apartment-like floor plan. In the shared apartment-like apartments, the bed rooms are all the same size. We rent unfurnished shared apartment-type two-room apartments to families. There are also a lot of two-room apartments that are suitable as family apartments in our new properties. The family apartments are not furnished. Those applying for family apartments should familiarize with the studios too, because many of our larger studios are suitable as family apartments, if the applicant does not have children. Those who live alone can also apply for a two-room apartment from LOAS.

Three-room apartments

LOAS has a few three-room apartments for families with children. The three-room apartments are unfurnished.

  • apartments may have curtains, but new ones are no longer provided

The furnishing does not include any utensils like dishes, bed clothes/mattress or cleaning equipment. You can increase comfort with your own furnishing, rugs, picture frames (only permitted on the attachment bars found on the walls) or other items according to personal taste.
