STUDENT HOUSE IN SKINNARILA
The real service centre for university students in the campus area near LOAS apartments. In the student house you will find something to eat and drink, services and variety of hobbies. The University’s Student Union, LTKY, is located in the student house and it’s clubs and guilds offer many recreational possibilities which act as a counterweight to the studies. In the Polytechnic the same issues are provided by the student union, SAIKO RY.

SAUNA IN VIERULA
The LOAS lakeside sauna Vierula is located in the campus area near the Lake Saimaa. Swimming in the chilling water in the autumn is an exciting experience even for students of engineering. There’s room for groups of ten people in Vierula.

CONNECTED TO THE WORLD
L-Net and Sonera Internet Cable are our tenants’ low rate broadband connections to the Internet from a student apartment. All you need is a computer with a net adapter and you are connected to the information superhighway. Your possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

TV-CHANNELS FOR EVERYBODY
All the LOAS apartments are connected to the Sonera Cable Television Network.

SAUNA ALMOST EVERY DAY
The saunas of LOAS houses are heated at least on three days a week. There are turns for girls, boys, joggers and groups. Families can book their own turn for the weekend. Our saunas are spacious, modern and are always in top condition.

LAUNDRY ROOMS
A student doesn’t need own washing machine. In every house there is a complete modern laundry room with automated washing machines and a drying space. While doing laundry there is a possibility to make new and interesting friendships. You can always ask for advice on how to iron a shirt from the girl next door.

PARKING SPACES
There is plenty of parking space for students’ cars. There are also heating points which supply electricity for heating or vacuuming a car.

PLAYGROUNDS FOR KIDS
Families with children have always been close to our heart. Playgrounds near every house are safe and well equipped. Baby carriages, bicycles and toys are stored in outdoor storerooms.

CLUB ROOMS
The club rooms of the LOAS houses are popular places to spend evenings. Resident committees, groups of friends, students’ unions and different clubs use the club rooms for all kinds of leisure activities. We are always ready to transform our facilities according to our inhabitants’ wishes.

HOUSE ELDER SERVES THE TENANTS
The name and address of the house elder will be found on the notice board of your house. A house elder is a resident of a LOAS student house, who advises, guides and communicates between the tenants and our housing office.

THE ENVIRONMENT
The surroundings of our houses are actively close to nature. A townscape and nature complete each other in a city environment of Lappeenranta. All our houses are located near versatile services and surrounded by recreation possibilities. Shops, banks, restaurants, sport centers and other services are usually very near. The Busses run from door to door and travelling is fast. In the district of Skinnarila there is jogging paths and skiing trails right next to our apartments. The blue Lake Saimaa can be seen from many windows.
